After Europe clinches Ryder Cup in Rome, McIlroy targets 2025 triumph in US

The dust had just settled on Europe’s Ryder Cup victory over the United States on Sunday when Rory McIlroy set his sights on New York and winning the 2025 edition in hostile territory.

Captain Luke Donald said that they will fight the Americans in 2025.

“A lot of people didn’t give us a chance after Whistling Straits. We were big underdogs. We’ve started to show some form in the last six months and I couldn’t be happier with the team I’ve got,” Donald said. “

“I think these guys are going to be around for a long time, and we’re going to have a big fight in two years.”
