Soon after a video of students raising religious slogans went viral on several social media platforms, Aligarh University on January 26 initiated an internal investigation in the matter. This comes after when local police carried out an investigation and failed to receive any unwavering information. While speaking to ANI, Area SP Kuldeep Singh Gunawat, said, “In the viral video, NCC students were raising slogans about a particular religion, they did not comment on any other religion. Police has not received any Tahrir so far, the university administration has taken action and suspended the student.”
