bbc: No permission was sought for screening BBC documentary, says DU Proctor Prof Rajni Abbi – The Economic Times Video

Speaking about the protest and detention over the screening of the BBC documentary on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Delhi University Proctor Professor Rajni Abbi on Jan 27 said that no prior permission was given for screening the documentary. She also said that the identity of the detained protestors will be checked and police will take necessary action. “Whatever the course the Police have to take, they will take it. No permission had ever been sought from us, no permission was given,” said Delhi University Proctor Professor Rajni Abbi. She also added, “I-cards of those who were detained will be checked, it’ll be determined if they are DU students. If they are from outside Police will take action & if they’re from DU, appropriate action will be taken against them.”
