Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on November 12, 2022. The couple named her Devi Basu Singh Grover and also shared a special message to announce her name. Bipasha Basu addresses trolls
Bipasha Basu, who conceived Devi through IVF treatment, opened up about her postpartum weight gain, body shaming and the negativity that awaits her. She told the portal: “I would like to tell them to continue trolling. That’s totally fine because it doesn’t bother me. Karan also shared his views on trolls and said that “as long as they are watching, everything is fine.”
Being a mother
Bipasha said, “Devi is my number one when it comes to anything and everything. Whether my eyes are open or closed, it’s always her. Every time I go out, I just want to go home and be with her. Everything in my life now revolves around her… Karan is number three, I am number two and Devi is number one.
In response, Karan joked that he was “a slave who had only one master.” He added that he now had “two masters and I am still a slave.” Karan also said that nothing has changed much for him. Bipasha also revealed that she was the most disciplined mother and that Karan was “always being bullied” by Devi, who is 10 months old.
How Bipasha found out Devi had 2 holes in her heart
Earlier this year, during a chat with actor Neha Dhupia on Instagram Live, Bipasha got emotional as she revealed that her daughter was born with two holes in her heart and underwent surgery at around three months old .
She said in the August interview: “Our journey has been very different to that of any normal mother-father, it has been much more difficult than the smile I have on my face right now. I wouldn’t wish this to happen to any mother. For a new mom, when you learn this… I found out on the third day after having a baby that our baby was born with two holes in his heart. I thought I wouldn’t share this, but I’m sharing this because I feel like there are a lot of mothers who have helped me on this journey, and it was very difficult to find these mothers…”
