Hollywood superstar Chris Evans hasn’t worked on any film sets this year. Fans of the Captain America star are wondering why Evans is taking fewer acting projects.
In an interaction with GQ, Evans spoke about his interests in acting and gave an insight into what he thinks about the profession that has earned him fame and immense adoration among millions of fans.
“Sometimes I wonder if I’m missing some kind of… for example, I think I’m a very motivated person. I have a lot of energy. I get up early, I do a lot of things in one day, but it’s not always focused on acting. Sometimes reading a script is the last thing I want to do,” Evans shared.
Evans emphasized that he loves acting: “But it’s not something I couldn’t live without.”
Interestingly, the 42-year-old also weighed in on Quentin Tarantino’s comments in which the latter trashed the Marvel Cinematic Universe cast. Tarantino said: “Part of the marvelization of Hollywood is that all these actors who have become famous are playing these characters. But they’re not movie stars. Right? Captain America is the star. Or, Thor is the star.”
Responding to Tarantino’s comments, Evans said, “I was like, you know, he’s right. The character is the star. You’re there, but you don’t feel the burden of it.”

During the interaction, Evans also discussed the prospect of a return to Marvel. He said he would be open to returning, but it would be “not anytime soon.”
“At the end of the day, I really hope that I can maybe act a little less in my life. I have a lot of other interests. Look, I’ve by no means climbed a mountain in this area. I don’t I don’t have an Oscar, and I’m in no way grouped with other names that are at the top of the mountain. But I also feel very satisfied,” Evans said.
Evans notably spent 20 years as an actor in Hollywood. Last year, he worked on three film projects, namely Ghosted, Pain Hustlers and the upcoming film Red One.
