Hexaware PGET Interview Experience 2023

I applied for Hexaware off-campus hiring through the superset platform on 5th of January 2023. After applying for the same, me along most of my batchmates got mail for Hexaware assessment after Resume shortlisting and background verification checks.

The Hexaware Hiring process basically comprises of following 4 Round, all are eliminating in nature:

  • Assessment Test [Aptitude+ (CS Fundamentals, Pseudocode) +Coding]
  • Mettl Assessment Test [Communication Round]
  • Technical Interview
  • HR Interview

Assessment Test: My Assessment Test was scheduled on 2023 January, 20, 11:00 AM. The First Assessment Test round itself consists of three different sub-rounds again each being eliminating type structured as:

  • Quants + English + Logical (Reasoning) [total 60 minutes allotted for 60 questions,20 from each Section]
  • Domain Based [ Pseudocode + CS Fundamentals]
  • Coding Round [ 2 Questions, Allotted Time: 40 min]

Now, taking about cut-off of each round, you can easily clear with 65-75% marks in the respective 1st and 2nd round .and for coding, they basically asked questions with respect with arrays, String, sorting, and LinkedList. It was of Easy type. I had solved both one in 15-20 minutes. After completion of this Round received a link for Mettl Assessment the very next day which is Scheduled on 22nd of January.

Mettl Assessment: This Assessment is to test English Speaking, Reading, Writing and Grammar Skills Test. That goes easy off air receives the Interview Link scheduled on 25th Jan’23 3:00pm to 4:00pm.

Technical Interview: I have received mail for Interview Link scheduled on Superset Platform, joined 10 minutes before the time a little bit panic but still have to wait for 3:08PM till Interviewer requests to join the panel via video call on Superset. So, first, he starts with my Introduction and then moves to my coding project description which was based on Full stack Development [Blog-Website], It takes around 5-8 minutes in this all stuffs. After that, he asked me to share the screen and open Notepad to write code for sorting the data without using any modules with explaining each line of code along with Time Complexity and Space Complexity. At that point, I did not expect to get code on Sorting, manages 

  • Write the logic of Bubble Sort and then explain and discuss the TC & SC with the logic implementation and working of each line of code.
  • He gives me a list of input Numbers and asked me to write the output for the code with each loop execution, which means as each for loop executes; I have to write the updated array on the Notepad. [takes around additional 20-25 minutes] after writing 25 lines of output, he asked me to stop
  • He switches to DBMS, OOPS Concepts (Four Pillar of Oops including Polymorphism, Inheritance, Abstraction and Encapsulation explaining each), and SQL.

Again he got stuck to Abstraction and called to write a Pseudocode to implement Abstraction in my Code in reference to real-life Applications. Again, I write it and explained it with reference to real life for its purposes for data hiding. But he was not that much satisfied with my answer explanation for the applications of Abstraction and have some cross-question within that respect. Still, I try to switch to another example for Abstraction. He was Ok with that example and approach.

As, I was from ECE background, so he asked a few questions from my branch as far as I remembered on Diagonal Clipping, Modulation, Triode, and Flip-Flops.

Now time goes to 3:55PM after this conversation; he said he was done with my interview and asked me if I have any questions. I asked about what I have to learn before hiring if got selected and what I have to improve in myself in the tech-core domain. He briefed me about the company and answered all these time ticks to 4:00 PM and this golden 50 minutes came to an end.

Note: The Interviewer was extremely friendly and polite in nature, even hinted when he feels necessary.

HR Interview: In a few days, I received mail for HR round scheduled for 4:30-5:30 PM. As expected, the interviewer joins 10 minutes late and asked to introduce myself, and sought If I am agreeable with the bonds policy and ready to relocate. Answered in Affirmation [No option to say NO ????]. Asked for if back-logs [ answered in negation]. 

He asked me a few more formal questions and at end, he told me “I am done you will receive a mail soon”.

Finally, within a week got selection mail for PGET role in Hexaware.
