Almost six months after fan favorite Dancing with the Stars judge Len Goodman‘s death in April at age 78, we finally know his official cause of death.

At the time of his death, it was reported that he had been fighting a short battle with bone cancer. Goodman’s death certificate elaborates to reveal that he had prostate cancer that spread to his bones, according to a report from the The Daily Express.

Goodman died April 22 at a hospice in Royal Tunbridge Wells, surrounded by his family. His longtime agent confirmed his death in a widely shared statement noting he was “a much loved husband, father and grandfather who will be sorely missed by family, friends and all who knew him.”

DWTS is paying tribute to Goodman by renaming the coveted Mirrorball Trophy after him. It will now be the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.

“The Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy will now be lifted on Dancing with the Stars like the Vince Lombardi trophy is lifted at the Super Bowl,” executive producer Conrad Green told USA Today. “We wanted to make Len a permanent part of this show, to always remind people the importance he’s had to Dancing With the Stars and how much he meant to all of us.”

ABC did not replace Goodman for Season 32. The series is airing with three judges and no head judge.
