The two-time sitting MLA from South Ujjain defeated Congress candidate Chetan Yadav by 13,000 votes.
He also served as the Minister for Higher Education in Madhya Pradesh under the leadership of former CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan further strengthening his position in the state’s political scene.
A businessman turned politician, Yadav started his political career with the BJP in 2013 and has been elected as an MLA from this seat since then.
The newly elected leader also has a Phd. from Vikram University, Ujjain which he completed in 2009, and an MA in Political Science from the same university in 2006.
During the year 1993-95, he also supervised the co-section proceedings of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in Ujjain.
