Naseeruddin Shah recently spoke about his inability to see himself as an ideal father. He spoke about his strained relationship with his father, for which he said he still had regrets. The lead actor said that although he never wanted to become like his father, he may have been harsh to his children at times, but reluctantly. Naseeruddin Shah is not an ideal father
The We Are Yuvaa actor said, “I never wanted to be like my father with my children. I wanted my children to hold me and be free with me. This happened to some extent only because of somewhere, unintentionally, habits that were ingrained in you, not because of genetics but because of memetics. The sound waves and attitude around you tend to reside within you. Reluctantly, I barely spoke to my children. I never beat them, that’s what I learned from my father. I don’t want my children to be afraid of me. I don’t know how successful I am, but ideally, I want that. I haven’t been an ideal father because sometimes my anger got the better of me. He also joked that he was afraid of his youngest son.

Naseeruddin also said that he achieved a lot after his father’s death. “I considered him the villain of my life. I had forgotten his small gestures, like his kindness,” he added. During the same conversation, the actor recalled that his father wanted him to become a doctor, but he opted for the profession of actor. He said his father was shocked when the actor showed no interest in studies and even failed in class 9. His father also questioned him, “Nautanki karoge toh khana kaha se khaoge?” (how will you survive with an acting profession) »
Nasseruddin’s father was Aley Mohammed. He has previously spoken about not being with his father during his final days. Naseeruddin is married to Ratna Pathak Shah. He had three children: Heeba, Imaad and Vivaan Shah.
