Ricki Lake was born on September 21, 1968 and is an American actress, television personality and producer. Ricki rose to fame in 1988 when she played the coveted role of Tracy Turnblad in the 1988 film “Hairspray.” Following her incredible success in the film, she pursued a lucrative career as a talk show host and began age of only 24! She was considered the youngest person to host a syndicated talk show at the time. After almost a decade of her initial talk show, Ricki launched another one in 2012 called “The Ricki Lake Show.” “Although the series was canceled in 2013 after just one season, it won its first Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Talk Show!
