Luca Guadagnino Embraces Dadcore in Loewe
I absolutely loved Luca in head-to-toe Loewe at the photocall in Venice, right before the premiere of his latest film Bones & All. He was wearing a puffed up, slightly distressed polo shirt paired with acid-wash jeans and puffy sneakers. Posing next to Timothée Chalamet and Taylor Russell, he looked like such a proud dad, beaming with joy and dressing the part of paternal creative—only he was wearing one of today’s most celebrated designers while doing so.

Tessa Thompson Flips the Script at the Venice Film Festival

In my eyes, Tessa Thompson was the best dressed person this year. But as a jury member at the Venice International Film Festival, she shone from the second she arrived in the city wearing a sheer Victoria Beckham tunic, black pants, and red gloves (!). This energy was only amplified on the red carpet. My personal favorites are the moody black and white Schiaparelli she wore to the closing red carpet; the sultry black hooded netted Interior dress, blunt bob, and choker she selected for the Blonde premiere; and the otherworldly Marc Jacobs mint green confection she donned for the premiere of Don’t Worry Darling. Each is theatrical and dramatic, but has the artistic bent of a true fashion lover. Props to Thompson and stylist team Wayman and Micah; these will be on my mood board forever.
