Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) MP Thamizhachi Thangapandian said on September 19 that the party will accept the Women’s Reservation Bill. Talking to ANI, Thamizhachi Thangapandian said, “As a woman, we always look forward to the implementation of this Bill. But still, we have not read all the clauses and objectives of the Bill. So far, it has been DMK’s stand since Kalaignar’s time that we will accept the Bill because Tamil Nadu is a union for Women’s reservation rights as well as women’s empowerment. So we will welcome the Bill, but we have to see all the clauses and intricacies of the bill.”
