Kejriwal said MCD employees have been getting timely salaries for the last two months and the civic body’s tax collection has also increased as “it is led by an honest dispensation”.
On the occasion, the chief minister issued appointment letters to 370 new regular employees.
Kejriwal said MCD employees and its officials will make Delhi the “cleanest city” of the country in the next two to three years.
The people of Delhi will be associated with the ongoing cleanliness drive in the city and will make it tidy and clean in the coming months, he added.
AAP mayor-ruled MCD Shelly Oberoi and Urban Development minister Saurabh Bhardwaj were also present at the event held at Thyagraj stadium.
