Horton described self care as “non-medical ways of looking after yourself. So it might be eating well, exercising, having some alone time, socialising with your friends, going for a walk-“
“So all the things that have been happening since the beginning of time?” questioned Fordham.

He denounced the need for a self-ascribed “buzzword”, asking, “Does it get a hashtag as well? Is someone going to start selfcare.com?
“Since the beginning of time we’ve taken time out. We’ve looked after ourselves. We’ve We’ve meditated. We’ve had acupuncture…”
Fordham revealed that acupuncture, in fact, is the secret to his easy-going demeanour.
Both himself and his wife Jodie see an acupuncturist who, according to them, has “healing powers”.

“I say to Jodie, ‘You know what? We are better off with Helen in our lives’… my mum goes to see Helen now as well, [and] other members of the family – we’re big into this buzzword that you call ‘self-care, that we’ve been doing since the beginning of time.”
Horton then asked Fordham what he thought of more indulgent forms of self-care, such as facials or massages.
“Of course it’s OK!” exclaimed Fordham, saying that its the best gift option for the women in your life when you don’t know what to get them.
Horton agreed, telling “All the men out there – can I just let you know we love that gift. Because it’s also an hour or two by yourself. Just quiet time.”
Fordham then flipped the script, asking Horton, “Is it OK for blokes to take six hours out of their Sunday to go and play golf?”
Horton sighed, declaring, “That’s not self care. That’s selfish.”
