Kmart hack: Shopper reveals her trick for finding stock of Kmart’s new releases and sell-out products

Kmart’s latest home and living collection has sparked a frenzy among shoppers keen to get their hands on gorgeous décor and furniture products at a bargain price.

But some items have proved so popular they’ve already sold out online and left empty spots on shelves.

That seemed to be the case for customers desperate to buy the arched bedside table for $39 only to find it was sold out online or not in their local store.

So Kmart fan Jess Ricci made a TikTok explaining the trick to tracking down stock of Kmart’s new releases and viral products, and it’s one you’ll want to try yourself.

Ricci made her video in response to comments from frustrated shoppers who posted on her clip about her recent Kmart purchase.

“Kmart launches product online before it hits in store. [The arched bedside table is a] brand new product but it says out of stock, however that doesn’t mean you can’t get it in store,” she said.

“What you want to do is scroll down and find this little ‘Find In Store’ button and hit that, type in your postcode, I’ve popped in Melbourne, and it’s going to pull up all stores within a close proximity to that area and it’s going to show you which one of them have it in stock.”

Once you’ve found a store with stock, your best option for getting hold of the item you want is to place a click and collect order.

That way you’ve paid for it and it will be set aside for you ready to go when you get to the store.

Kmart fans shared more tips for finding stock of viral products in the comments section of Ricci’s video.

“You can also ‘add to Wishlist’ [on the Kmart site] and they email you when it’s back in,” one suggested.

“Also if it says ‘in stock’, it’s new and you can’t find it in store, it pays to ask. Nine times out of 10 it just hasn’t been unpacked yet,” another said.

Kmart’s arched bedside table isn’t the only new product customers are obsessed with. The white textured side table has also been a hit and featured in countless TikTok videos with shoppers showing how they styled it.

The retailer’s new living range is based on three design styles: timeless, natural and urban.

In the timeless and natural collections, designs feature neutral, calming colours, textures and classic shapes.

As for the urban style, that includes pops of colour with bold shapes and warm timber.

The new living range officially launched at the beginning of February and is in store now.
