Meet Madisin Rian, the New 2023 SI Swimsuit Rookie
The model is set to join the SI Swim squad this spring.
Madisin Rian is the new 2023 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit rookie!
The model, who is the face of Armani Beauty, was introduced as the newest SI Swimsuit Rookie on Wednesday, Mar. 29.
First discovered at a luncheon held by model Kimora Lee Simmons in 2008, she became the face of the beauty brand 10 years later. The St. Louis native has also worked with notable brands like Polo Ralph Lauren, Donna Karan, Stuart Weitzman and J.Crew. She also appeared on the pages of several magazines like Vogue Portugal and Marie Claire Australia.

Rian took to her Instagram Story to announce the news by sharing SI Swimsuit’s post that welcomed her into the squad. “Dreams come true!!!” she wrote, “Your new @SI_Swimsuit 2023 Rookie.”
“We couldn’t be more excited to introduce Madisin in the 2023 Swimsuit Issue!” the magazine’s editor-in-chief MJ Day said in a statement. “She is a trailblazer who has taken the fashion industry by storm. Her journey reminds us that strength and beauty come from being true to yourself and loving others.”
Rian has consistently used her platform to spread the word about important causes, such as making clean drinking water easily accessible to everyone. She is working to create a foundation to bring fresh water to poverty-stricken areas in Africa, starting in the Ivory Coast.
Rian recently spoke to SI Swimsuit during her debut photoshoot working with photographer James Macari in the Dominican Republic, revealing that it has been her dream to appear in the magazine.

“The [Swim] team is so nice. Everyone here on set has just been so lovely to me, and I’m in bliss. I literally have no words,” Rian told the outlet. “It’s just so organic and so natural for me to be shooting with this amazing team that is giving me the creative freedom to just be me. That’s what it’s all about.”
“I’ve dreamed of doing SI [Swimsuit] for so many years now, and for me to be in the moment right now that it’s happening, I’m a firm believer that everything happens in the right timing,” she said.
Rian also noted that she appreciates that the brand promotes diversity and allows each model to express their individuality.
“What I want people to take away when they open up the magazine is to see all of the diversity,” she said.
