Rep. said. Pat Fallon (R-TX) of the House Oversight Committee did not rule out his panel launching an investigation into a baggie of cocaine found in the White House this week.
Had conflicting reports about where exactly the cocaine was found. The latest reporting indicates that it was discovered near the Situation Room.
Appearing on Friday’s episode of The Bottom Line on Fox Business, Fallon was asked about the co-host’s cocaine McDowell Day.
“The questions keep coming because the story keeps changing,” he said. “And the American people deserve to be held accountable because that house is the people’s home. When will you have answers?”
“Well, Dagen, they call it the White House and boy, they put a whole new meaning on that,” he joked. “I never thought in my life I’d be asked a question about cocaine being found in the White House, Dagen. That’s where we are now in this administration. It’s absolutely ridiculous.
co-host Sean Duffy followed by asking if the Oversight Committee would participate.
“Will the Oversight Committee get answers on this?” asked Duffy, who also suggested cocaine might be in the possession Hunter Bidena recovering crack addict, and to Joe Biden son “And do you think the Secret Service — which is actually playing defense for Hunter Biden on the gun charges — are they going to be equal to the committee?
Fallon isn’t ruling out an investigation.
“Well, we have to ask these questions because we’re not going to know the corruption, the financial corruption of the Biden family if we don’t have the subpoena power, if we don’t have the majority, if we don’t ask questions and demand answers,” replied Fallon. “So, we have to demand answers now.”
Fallon added that if he had to bet on who owns the drugs, it would be the president’s son.
Ultimately, whether the committee will launch an investigation is a call for the Chair James Comer (R-KY) and perhaps Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) to do.
