Scoot will operate flights to six Southeast Asian destinations from Singapore with its new fleet of nine Embraer E190-E2 aircraft from May this year.
The lineup includes new stops Koh Samui in Thailand and Sibu in Malaysia, as well as existing destinations – Hat Yai and Krabi in Thailand, and Kuatan and Miri in Malaysia – recently announced by Singapore Airlines’ low-cost subsidiary Is.
The first E190-E2 aircraft, after being delivered from Embraer’s factory in Sao Jose dos Campos, Brazil in April, will be used on Scoot’s existing flights to Hat Yai and Krabi from May 7, the airline said.
Scoot said this will increase flight frequency to both destinations from seven to 10 times a week.
Flights to Koh Samui and Miri are also scheduled to begin in May, while flights to Kuantan and Sibu will begin in June.
With the new routes to Koh Samui and Sibu, Scoot’s network grew to 69 destinations.
Bookings for flights operated by the E190-E2 jets will gradually be made available through Scoot’s website, mobile app and other channels. Economy class, including taxes, will start from S$172 to Koh Samui and S$72 to Sibu.
