BJP president JP Nadda on Saturday announced the alliance between BJP, TDP and Jana Sena for the upcoming Lok Sabha and assembly elections.
The TDP was in the NDA till March 2018 and was also part of the Modi cabinet. However, it stopped the NDA on the demand of special status to Andhra Pradesh.
According to the statement, the modalities of seat sharing will be discussed in a day or two. However, ET has learned that the TDP has agreed to leave eight LS seats and 30 assembly seats for the BJP and Jana Sena to combine. LS seats likely to be contested by BJP are Anakapalli, Araku, Rajahmundry, Eluru, Hindupur, Rajampet. The two seats that Jana Sena will contest are Machilipatnam and Kakinada.
